Abstract

Relevance and goals. Hypertension and its complications remain one of the main causes of high mortality of the population, both in Russia and across all countries of the world. The results of drug-free treatment of hypertensive patients in the early stages of the disease development are presented below. A method of combining hirudotherapy with corporeal acupuncture and prolonged auricular micro-therapy is proposed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the combination of acupuncture hirudotherapy with complex reflexology in the treatment of patients with hypertensive disease in the I and II stages of the disease.
Materials and methods. A comprehensive study of 74 patients with hypertensive disease in the I and II stages of the disease (according to the classification of VNOK, 2010) aged 18 to 53 years (52 women and 22 men). All patients received acupuncture hirudotherapy in combination with traditional corporal reflexology and auricular prolonged micro-therapy.
Results. The conducted study confirmed the effectiveness of complex treatment of patients with hypertensive disease in the early stage of the disease with the use of drug-free methods of treatment.
Conclusions. Acupuncture hirudotherapy in combination with a differentiated complex reflexotherapy allows, in the majority of patients with hypertensive disease in the early stage of the disease, without using pharmacological drugs, to rapidly reduce high blood pressure indicators, stabilize them at the target level, relieve hypertensive patients from the main clinical symptoms of the disease and to significantly improve the quality of life of these patients.
